What a super awesome blog you've got here!!! I love it! I found you through Barb at Cleaning Up The Clutter today when she nominated both of us for The Lemonade Award :-) I carried my daughter in the Moby and the Ergo when she was little(r), she's 2.5 now. But I just love old European clothing and customs and folklore. I'm so excited to go browse around your site some more...!
Cheers Amber! Thankyou so much for having a look around. I love Barb's clutter mission...in fact I've been meaning to tackle my pan cupboard for a while now! It's like Jenga in there at the moment! xxxx
hi there, this picture with the baby-carrying mother is not swedish, it is german. the traditional dress is from an area in germany called "Schwalm", which is in middle-hesse. greetings, anni
I see somebody else already commented on what I was going to say. :) I am from Hesse, Germany and this is a very typically Hessian couple in the picture, definitely not very Swedish at all. It would be awesome if you could correct that in the blog entry! :) Thanks for sharing all those pictures, it helps documenting child-carrying in Europe. Great project! ~ Swantje
